"Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them." - The Little Prince is written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
This story is so inspiring. It made me realize that I am already a grown-up (at some point) because I choose to complicate things than to look at things in a simpler way. Grown-ups are always busy that they forget how to think of the small things around them - the small things that make up big things.
"If you were to say to the grown-ups: “I saw a beautiful house made of rosy brick, with geraniums in the windows and doves on the roof,” they would not be able to get an idea of that house at all. You have have to say to them: “I saw a house that cost $20,000.” Then they would exclaim: “Oh, what a pretty house that is!”"
Grown-ups never acknowledge anything that isn't interesting for them. You can never talk to them about cute things (sorry for the choice of word!) because they don't have time for all that shit. But I believe there are grown-ups who always appreciate small, cute stories from little kids. And I believe I am like that. Hahaha
"I may become like the grown-ups who are no longer interested in anything but figures."
Grown-ups seldom get sad whenever one bids farewell. Its like they don't treasure friendship as a concrete relationship. For them, friendship is like "when you go with me then you're with me but if not, you don't deserve my time." I may be like that at some point but not that harsh. In friendship, we must not only focus on how many times your friend has always been there with you and you are with them. Sometimes, destiny takes us somewhere where we have to leave all behind for our own good.
"Language is the source of misunderstandings."
True that! Sometimes we misunderstand things that have said to us and sometimes we say things the wrong way and get misunderstood. So, sometimes it is better to be silent about what we feel and let others feel it because that way we feel comfortable and not worried if we are misunderstood or not.
